Back to hospital

Back to hospital

Never think you have your week planned out.
Don’t start a roast and plan a nice dinner (that rarely happens) because most likely you’ll end up in the hospital. Another Sure fire way of being admitted to hospital is when you try and move on and think a good ct scan means your ok.

Andy is in for observation. This time at the hospital I don’t like grrrr. If only it was st Mary’s! That hospital seems to have more cancer patients and for some reason feels more like home.
Of course no matter what hospital the nurses always ask If you have fricken kids. For some reason this nurse thinks because andy has red hair that you must ask if we have kids. No logic there.

Hopefully they can figure out his nausea and release him sooner than later. I do like the break from taking care of andy though. Going to be a lonely night at home…

So sorry to hear this. I hope he can come home soon. You sound like a 24/7 operation. That has to be exhausting. I know Andy’s health issues affect life and death so probably are central to most days’ activities, but I hope your support network is making sure you do not have to prep every meal, wipe up every dust bunny, and give up every moment for others. You need care, too! What did you do on your night alone? You don’t have to answer. I just hope you had time for some relaxation. A nap. A manicure. A gourmet coffee break. A magazine to flip through. A walk. A long talk with a family member or friend. Your love no doubt keeps you going, but everyone’s soul needs a little care and feeding, too! I’m sending positive thoughts for you, too!

I fed the dogs and cheered them up with some fetch. Ate some of my pot roast alone. Chatted with a friend a bit on how crappy not knowing what the cause of all this is. Worked a little too keep the money flowing in. Took sleeping medicine to make my brain stop missing my Andy and to stop worrying about what I can’t control. Then woke up early for a morning meeting that was canceled and ran back to hospital where now we sit and wait for doctors to ask questions instead of having answers. While Getting to repeat to different nurses the same story over and over. Sigh. A manicure sounds nice though 🙂

You are such a good person, Sarah. I’ve never met you, but this is such a tough situation to handle so young. I cannot change this for anyone, but I can say that I respect and appreciate how hard this must be on you, and I hope there are times for manicures and pot roast dinners and candle light conversations and breaks from doctors and medicine. You deserve that. Andy, too!
